2024 Nisei Week Ondo Dance Practice: JACCC Plaza, Little Tokyo, LA (Everyone Welcome to Dance or Watch) Tue/ThuNEW

Nisei Week Ondo practices will begin in July at the JACCC plaza. Please come to learn the new dances and familiarize with the old ones.

The practices are OPEN to the PUBLIC and All are encouraged to participate or just come to watch.

Days: 07/25/2024, 07/30/2024, 08/01/2024, 08/06/2024
08/06/2024: Optional practice session mainly for the public. Dance groups are not obligated to attend.

Dancers will need a Uchiwa for the parade dances

Schedule: 5 Nisei Week Practices
• 4 official "parade dances practices
• 1 bonus practice for the public

Practices 1 & 2: Jul 25 & 30, 2024
• Practice dedicated to Hanayagi Rokufukumi Kai 's two parade dances only (no Street Ondo practice.)

Practices 3 & 4:  Aug 1 & 6, 2024
• Practice will start with parade dances for the first half of the practice session and the second half will be Street Ondo practice.

Practice 5: Aug 6, 2024
• Bonus practice will be dedicated to Street Ondo for the public.
