The Annual Terminal Islanders Picnic Event will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, it's picnic time once again and its my pleasure to welcome you and your family at George Bellis Park (West Shelter) in Buena Park.   

We will have entertainment for those that wish to sit back, relax, or visit with friends and fmaily, races for the children, and ondo.

The grand prize in our general raffle will be $500 followed by 2nd prize of $300 and 3rd prize of $100 plus many more prizes will be awarded.

Tickets are $5 donation.

Please join us as we look forward to seeing you all for a day of memorable fun and joy.

The Terminal Islanders and the Port of Los Angeles will be celebrating 15 years since the dedication of the Memorial Monument. The event is open to the public.

Location 1: 1124 South Seaside, San Pedro, CA 90731
In 2002, the Terminal Island monument was completed and is “the only art piece on Terminal Island.” The event will take place on Sunday, April 15th at 10:00 at 1124 South Seaside, San Pedro, CA 90731. There will be a Call to Order by the Kokoro Taiko group followed by the Presentation of Colors by Long Beach Polytechnic High School JROTC.  The Master of Ceremonies will be Terry Hara, Deputy Chief, LAPD (Ret.), Midori Sanchez will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Kelsey Kwong will sing the National Anthem. Distinguished guests, such as Akira Chiba, Consulate-General of Japan in Los Angeles; Supervisor Janice Hahn; Port of Los Angeles Executive Director and Councilman Joe Buscaino will address the audience. The architects from Gruen Associates, who designed and constructed the monument, will present a history of the Terminal Island Memorial Monument. A special Commemorative T-shirt will be available for $ 15.00 and a vintage Terminal Island gift basket will be raffled.

Location 2: Los Angeles Maritime Museum, 84 Berth, San Pedro, CA 90731
At noon, the attendees are invited to proceed to the Los Angeles Maritime Museum in San Pedro for bento lunch and the Dedication of their new Terminal Island exhibit. The items on display were arranged by Naomi Hirahara who will be present to make comments on the display. Bento lunches will be available for $20.00 and must be purchased in advance.
