The Menlo Park Library is holding a month-long celebration of the oral tradition, with a Storytelling Festival featuring an array of professional tellers over the course of seven different events. On November 6, the headliner is Megumi, who will share her favorite Japanese folktales in English & Japanese. Savor the Japanese culture through whimsical, greedy, and generous spirits, goblins, animals and human beings.

For over 20 years, Megumi has delighted in telling the Japanese folktales she fondly remembers from her childhood, as well as World War II Japanese-American internment camp stories based on dozens of interviews she has conducted with former internees.
