Children's Day is observed in Japan as a day to honor all children in the hopes that they will grow up healthy and strong.
To celebrate this event, we will provide children and their families an opportunity to experience Japanese culture with the following performances and activities:
- Koi-nobori Parade
- Taiko drum performance and hands-on workshop
- Origami helmet making with newspaper
- Koi kite coloring
- Kid-friendly tea ceremony
- Koi Q & A
- Haiku Scavenger Hunt
- Height measuring

Most events will take place at the Cultural Village, in the Yanai Classroom Courtyard and the Cathy Rudd Cultural Corner.
The Koi Q & A will take place at the Koi pond and the Koi-nobori Parade will take place throughout the Garden.
