This Halloween, JASGP is celebratingï¿½yokai: the monsters, ghosts and spirits of Japanese folklore! On the weekend of October 29 and 30, we will be celebratingï¿½Yokai Family Weekend. Families can participate in a yokai-themedï¿½scavenger huntï¿½and collect spooky trading cards ofï¿½tsukumogami-household objects come to life. Hear and see traditionalï¿½kamishibaiï¿½(illustrated folktales) ofï¿½oni,ï¿½kappaï¿½andï¿½tengu. Make anï¿½oni maskï¿½or design your ownï¿½yokai puppetï¿½to use in a dailyï¿½spirit paradeï¿½around the Shofuso grounds. Play ghostlyï¿½gamesï¿½and watch yokai-themedï¿½anime and moviesï¿½at the Sakura Pavilion.
