The Annual� Obon festival in New York is back, featuring Japanese folk dances, music, taiko drumming and crafts, including origami.� Performances by Soh Daiko and Tachibana Dance Group.

The location is Bryant Park in the heart of Manhattan. Our urban festival attracts NYC residents and tourists who join in the dancing.� We also welcome the dancers, taiko drummers and friends who join us every year from Seabrook, New Jersey.

Come honor the memory of your ancestors with joyful dancing!

Obon Dance Practice
From 6:30 to 8 PM on June 23rd, 25th, and 30th, and on July 2nd.� Practice takes place at the New York Buddhist Church at 331-332 Riverside Drive (bet 105 & 106 Sts, nearest subway stop is #1 at 103 St)� All are welcome, no prior dance experience required
