The Sidney Poitier New American Film School at ASU invites you to an unforgettable evening in Los Angeles, celebrating the art and history brought to life in the acclaimed FX television series “Shōgun.”

Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 pm for a special screening of the pilot episode, "Anjin," followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring “Shōgun” costume designer Carlos Rosario, Hollis Goodall, Curator of Japanese Art for LACMA, and Hirokazu Kosaka, JACCC Master Artist in Residence. Rosario’s work on “Shōgun” was recently recognized with a nomination from the Costume Designer’s Guild Awards for Best Period Costumes for TV, and he previously won an Emmy for Outstanding Period Costumes for a Series for the episode “Ladies of the Willow World.”

This event will explore the intricate craftsmanship and storytelling behind the series, highlighting the artistry that brings this epic tale to life.
