We will begin our class "Buddhism Around the World". We will explore the history of Buddhism as it spread across India into China, Southeast Asia, Japan and the West. We will examine some of the cultural influences Buddhism has adapted into its teachings and some of the resultant differences in practices, customs and rituals.
