Tanabata festival also known as the "star festival" will in Little Tokyo during Nisei Week.ï¿½ The Tanabata Festival is in front of the MOCA The Museum of Contemporary Art (Which is next to JANM-Japanese American Nation Museum - same area).ï¿½ There will be 100's of colorful hanging displays (streamers).ï¿½ These displays are handmade by Japanese Organizations.ï¿½ This is a great time to bring the kids for photos and to walkthrough the beuatiful display of handmade artwork.

Next to the Tanabata festival will have food booths, beer garden and a stage that will host performances.ï¿½ In between the stage and Tanabat Festival will be the JANM Museum.ï¿½ They will have booths with Japanese arts and crafts.ï¿½

Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon: The Geffen/Moca Museum area will be open for visitors. All the streamers will be infront of the museum.
