Event will be held at the Gardena Civic Center Complex, 1700 West 162nd Street in Gardena. The Koi Show will be held again "English Style" and will be open to the public Free of Charge. Several show activities have been planned throughout the weekend ~ Please view the links below for additional show times & scheduling and for registration forms.

37th Annual ZNA SoCal Chapter Open Koi Show co-sponsored by the City of Gardena Department of Parks and Recreation will be held on March 19-20, 2011, at the Gardena Civic Center Complex (1700 West 162nd Street, Gardena, California 90247).

The show will again be held "English Style" and will be open to the public free of charge. Enclosed are show packets and/or flyers containing information about this event. You can help us publicize our show by spreading the word among your koi kichi friends, displaying our show information at club meetings, and posting show flyers at koi related businesses. If you would like to volunteer to help with the koi show please contact club president, Don Kobashigawa, at (818) 207-3238 or [email protected] .We could use all the help we can get!!!

Several show activities have been scheduled throughout the weekend. It will be a must to attend our Saturday 1-4pm Lecture Series located at the show site. On Saturday Evening, 6:30pm come join us for the Awards Banquet at the Holiday Inn Torrance Gateway Hotel. There will be surprise entertainment that you will not want to miss!!! Sunday Morning, participate in a Guided Commentary of the winning koi by ZNA Show Judges. They will describe the different types of koi and the attributes that make a champion fish! Also, on Sunday at 11 am, join us for the Great Koi Auction where you may be able to purchase show quality koi at discounted prices.

Our show will also host several Japanese cultural activities. On Saturday, there will be entertainment by a Taiko Drum Youth Group followed by an ensemble of Traditional Japanese Singers and Dancers from the South Bay. Come participate and join in on the fun!
This show promises to be one of the premiere koi events of the year. It will be a memorable experience whether you plan to enter koi in the competition, participate as a vendor, or simply attend the show as an observer. Thank you for your continued support of our club activities. We look forward to seeing you at our 37th Annual ZNA SoCal Chapter Koi Show.

SHOW EVENTS (3 Days)
Friday Afternoon: Koi Show Entries Accepted: 1:00-7:00pm at the Gardena Civic Center Show Site. Open to all hobbyists, but space is limited. Reservations and fee required. Contact Don Kobashigawa: (818) 207-3238 or e-mail [email protected]

Saturday Morning: Koi Entries Accepted: 7:00-9:00am at the Gardena Civic Center Show Site.
Saturday: Koi Show Judging, 10 -3 pm. Participants and spectators will be allowed to observe and listen to Judges' comments and decisions; however, no communication with the Judges is permitted.

Saturday & Sunday: All Day Entertainment/Koi Seminars: On Saturday, there will be entertainment by the Gardena Buddhist Church Taiko Drum Youth Group followed by an ensemble of Traditional Japanese Singers and Dancers from the South Bay. Koi Husbandry Lectures on Saturday 1-4pm at the show site

Saturday Evening: Awards Banquet, 6:30pm � At the Holiday Inn Torrance Gateway Hotel. Come enjoy the delicious Awards Banquet, Judges' Commentaries, Fun, and Koi Camaraderie. Cash wine and beer bar at the Banquet room.
Sunday Morning: Judges' Commentaries: 9:00�11:00am, Koi Show Judges will lead groups around show tanks describing the different types of koi and will comment on the big winners.
