The 136th Rose Parade presented by Honda and 111th Rose Bowl Game will return on January 1, 2025 starting at 8am PST.  Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, has announced the theme for the 2025 Rose Parade: "Best Day Ever!" This theme celebrates life's most cherished moments - the unexpected events that bring smiles, warm our hearts, and fill us with joy.

About the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl
This iconic New Year's Day event will mark the celebration of a new start. It is one of the world's most celebrated and longest-running traditions, with millions of people tuning in from around the globe to experience the pageantry and excitement. The Tournament of Roses showcases many wonderful floats, bands and equestrian units as they travel along the five-and-a-half mile route. The Rose Parade has been a part of Pasadena, California since 1890 and will be celebrated in its 135th year on January 1nd, 2024. This year’s theme is "Dreaming of a Better Year" and serves as an inspirational reminder to stay hopeful for what lies ahead. The Rose Parade is the perfect way to start off the new year and celebrate a fresh beginning. The Rose Bowl Game will be played at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena. This time-honored tradition has been a part of college football since 1902 and will celebrate its 109th year in Pasadena. The Rose Bowl Game pits the champions from the Pac-12 Conference and Big Ten Conference against each other in one of the most historic bowl games in college football history. As we look forward to cheering on our favorite teams, we also look forward to seeing the pageantry and excitement that comes along with the Rose Bowl Game. The days leading up to the Rose Parade presented by Honda and Rose Bowl Game are filled with family-friendly events, including Equestfest, the Bandfest, and A Salute to the Armed Forces. Equestfest is an event that celebrates the equestrian units in the parade, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at all of the horses involved. Bandfest showcases some of the best marching bands from around the country with lively performances from each group. Finally, A Salute to the Armed Forces honors those who have served and are currently serving our country.

The OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade float for 2025, themed "Let Your Life Soar," is inspired by the Japanese celebration of Children's Day. The float features traditional koinobori, or flying fish windsocks, which represent strength, courage, and health in Japanese culture. These attributes also define organ, eye, and tissue donors, their families, and recipients.

The float's design showcases the power and impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation:

1) The koi fish scales highlight memorial floral portraits (floragraphs) of donors who gave the gift of life.
2) Organ, eye, and tissue recipients ride on the float, expressing gratitude for their donors' lifesaving gifts.
3) Living donors walk alongside the float, demonstrating the importance of living donation.

The float serves as a powerful reminder of the impact individuals can make by registering to become organ, eye, or tissue donors, potentially saving or enhancing the lives of over one million people in need of transplants each year. It honors the perseverance and dedication of the entire donation and transplantation community, from donor families to medical professionals.
