South Bay Japanese American Citizens League Membership
The South Bay JACL boasts more than 200 members located in the greater South Bay community, including Long Beach, San Pedro, Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Lawndale, Hawthorne, Gardena, Harbor City, Lomita, Wilmington, Carson and Compton. Members come from diverse professional backgrounds, ethnicities, and generations but all have the same goal: to have fun while making the community a better place to live and work. Members are integral to the survival and continuation of South Bay JACL programs.

Members receive the South Bay JACL newsletter that is published four times each year. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the 'Pacific Citizen,' a national, bi-weekly newspaper published by the JACL. Established in 1929, the newspaper covers news and events in the Japanese American and larger Asian Pacific American communities.
