COVERED LIFTS AT BIG BEAR TUBING AREAS!
The Only Covered Lifts at a Southern California Winter Recreation Area Means Snow Stays Off Guests While They Ride!
Space Age-Looking Clear Tunnels Over Uphill Lifts Are Unique and Offer One-of-a-Kind Photo Ops!
Big Bear Snow Play, once a ski area, has the longest tubing runs in Southern California
(BIG BEAR LAKE, CA)--Guests already get to ride rather than walk to the top of their favorite tubing hill at Big Bear Lake’s snow play area...and now their ride is covered to protect them from falling snow and the elements! New clear Plexiglas tunnels now encase the Magic Carpet uphill lift at Big Bear Snow Play The space age-looking enclosure over the moving conveyor belt lift keep wind and snow away while allowing views of all the snow play action to spill in. It’s a warmer ride up and one that doesn't’t have to stop due to piling snow drifts, which means guests get all the runs in they canhandle, even during inclement weather. The new tunnel came in handy during the season’s first significant snow storm in early December. Even as the flakes fell around them, guests rode the uphill lift at Big Bear's tubing area in style, conserving their body heat and comfort for their thrilling downhill rides.
