The James R. Armstrong Theatre is a 502-seat performing arts venue located in Torrance, California. It was built in 1984 and named after James R. Armstrong, a former mayor of Torrance. The theatre hosts a variety of events, including professional and community productions, large-scale meetings, film screenings, and seminars.

The theatre has a state-of-the-art stage and house lighting, audio system, intercom and monitors. The proscenium is adjustable, and the stage dimensions are 39 x 89 feet with a performance area of 34 x 40 feet. The fly loft has a height of 55 feet from stage to gridiron. The auditorium has plush seating and superior acoustics.

The theatre also has a backstage scene shop and dressing rooms. The scene shop is equipped with a variety of tools and materials for set construction, and the dressing rooms are spacious and well-appointed.

The James R. Armstrong Theatre is a versatile venue that can accommodate a wide range of events. It is a popular destination for performing arts groups, corporate events, and community gatherings.
