Martin Regional Library, located at 2601 S. Garnett Road in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a vital part of the Tulsa City-County Library system. Opened in 1976, it was named in honor of Allie Beth Martin, a visionary library leader and former president of the American Library Association. The library underwent a major expansion in 2002 and now spans over 29,000 square feet, offering a wide range of books, media, and over 50 public computers.
A standout feature of Martin Regional Library is its Hispanic Resource Center, which provides thousands of Spanish-language books, DVDs, and magazines, along with bilingual programming and staff to serve the area’s large Hispanic population. The library also houses the Build A Reader Center, which focuses on early literacy and includes bilingual storytimes and educational support for families.
The library serves as a cultural hub, hosting events such as the annual Asian-American Festival, anime clubs, and book discussions for all ages. It also supports students with its After-School Homework Club, which offers free tutoring to kids in grades 3 through 8.
With its inclusive programming, language resources, and strong community ties, Martin Regional Library is more than just a place to borrow books-it's a welcoming space for learning, connection, and cultural celebration in Tulsa.
