The Japan-America Society of Indiana (JASI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural, educational, and economic ties between Japan and the state of Indiana in the United States. Founded in 1988, the society serves as a bridge between these two diverse cultures, fostering understanding and cooperation in various fields.

JASI's mission is multi-faceted. One of its primary objectives is to facilitate cultural exchange between Japan and Indiana. They organize a wide range of events, including traditional Japanese festivals, art exhibitions, and educational programs. These activities help Hoosiers gain a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture, arts, and traditions.

Another critical role that JASI plays is in strengthening economic and business connections between Japan and Indiana. The society acts as a resource for companies looking to engage in trade or investment with Japan. Through business seminars, networking events, and trade missions, JASI facilitates dialogue and collaboration between the business communities in both regions.

Furthermore, JASI emphasizes education, striving to promote the study of Japan in Indiana's schools and universities. They offer scholarships, language programs, and educational resources to encourage cross-cultural learning and academic exchange.

The Japan-America Society of Indiana also works to support the Japanese community in the state. They provide a platform for cultural exchange and help newcomers from Japan adapt to life in Indiana.
