The Gardena Buddhist Church, established in 1926, is a Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha temple located in Gardena, California. As part of one of the largest denominations of Buddhism in Japan, the temple serves as a spiritual and cultural center for the local community.

The temple offers a welcoming space for both members and visitors to engage in Buddhist practices such as chanting, meditation, and the study of Buddhist teachings. Throughout the year, it hosts a variety of events, workshops, and seasonal festivals that celebrate both religious and Japanese cultural traditions.

The temple grounds include a beautiful Japanese-style main hall, a serene meditation room, and a peaceful Japanese garden featuring a koi pond, arched bridges, and carefully landscaped greenery-creating a tranquil environment for reflection and connection.

In addition to religious services, the Gardena Buddhist Church also offers educational programs, cultural classes, and even day care services, making it a hub for learning and community engagement.

Whether you're seeking mindfulness, spiritual growth, or a deeper appreciation of Japanese-American culture, the Gardena Buddhist Church welcomes all who wish to connect and grow.
